We’re more than halfway through 2026, and it’s been a busy season for the German American Police Association! Highlights included a trip to Philadelphia for GAPA-Philadelphia’s 50th Anniversary, a Cubs win that brought the Norbert Holzinger Pickelhaube Trophy back to Chicago, our annual Golf Outing at Renwood Golf Course, and a great Family Picnic at Bunker Hill Forest Preserve.
Looking ahead, mark your calendars:
- September 8 – Annual Ethnic Meeting at the DANK Haus, 5th Floor Marunde Ballroom
- September 11–13 – Chicago German American Fest, with GAPA marching in the Saturday parade
- October 2 – Oktoberfest Dinner Dance at Elmcrest Banquets, featuring our 2026 Scholarship Awards drawing
Scholarship applications are due September 18, and program book ads for the Oktoberfest Dinner Dance are due September 4.
